Head of the Gastrohepatology Coordination Unit at Indonesian Pediatric SocietyDr. Muzal Kadim graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia in 1989, obtaining a Pediatric specialization in 2003, and later becoming a Consultant Pediatric Gastrohepatologist in 2011. He continued his education and earned a Doctoral degree in 2019 with a dissertation titled "The Benefits of Supplementation of Formula Enriched with Zinc, Glutamine, Fiber, and Prebiotics on Morbidity and Growth of Children Aged 1-3 Years: A Study on Intestinal Mucosal Integrity and Nutrient Absorption."
In addition, Dr. Muzal Kadim's scientific publications covers issues such as emotional and behavioral disorders in children with mental retardation, the use of medications in children with liver disorders, gastrointestinal health problems, food allergies, and the role of probiotics in children's health. Active in various medical organizations, Dr. Muzal Kadim currently serves as the Head of the Gastrohepatology Coordination Unit at Indonesian Pediatric Society, strengthening his role in coordinating efforts in the field of gastrohepatology and advancing children's healthcare.
