Prof. Badriul Hegar, MD, Ph.D, Sp.A(K) is a highly accomplished medical professional with a focus on Gastrohepatology. He currently serves as the Director of the Indonesia Medical Education and Research Institute (IMERI). He is also a Professor in the Department of Gastrohepatology at The University of Indonesia, Depok, West Java, Indonesia.

He has contributed significantly to the field of medical research. He has been involved in numerous studies, including research on the relationship between psychological stress and functional constipation in children, the role of human milk oligosaccharides in infant nutrition, and factors associated with parental intention to vaccinate their preschool children against COVID-19.

In addition to his research, Prof. Hegar has also been involved in medical education. He has written about pediatric resident training in Indonesia and has been recognized for his contributions to medical education and research. Prof. Hegar's work extends beyond academia and research. He has been involved in various initiatives aimed at improving healthcare and quality of life. Prof. Hegar has been a staff member in the Pediatric Department since 1995.
